Today we had two different games, played on the same table. The first would be a reconnaissance mission to probe the enemy defences and then we would have a proper battle. This is the report of the first bit!
My opponent picked a force of endless German vehicles and the mere sight of it made me faint.
We had few forces from the start and I quietly advanced with the Scorpions and Chieftains until I met the first echelons of the enemy forces. Those little platoons of T72s wouldn't last long but it was essential for me to preserve the forces for the next fight.
My opponent was forcing me in the open because of the large hill at the centre blocking all lines of sight and he was waiting to pick off my tanks one by one, which almost happened at some point. Meanwhile, some heavy firing from the BMPs managed to bail a few support vehicles.
My infantry moved to redeploy on the opposite side of the table where T72s were massing for their attack (the BMPs had been blunted by the unlikely arrival of the Blowpipes and persistent firing from Abbots and Swingfires, freeing the Chieftains for tank-hunting duties), but the Shilkas gave them a bloody nose and it took me some time to get rid of them. At this point the Milans started picking tanks off and despite losing a Chieftain platoon in the process I managed to get on the objective before the infantry could rush it. Victory! But the worst was yet to come...
Well done commander!
A short report but all is sayed.
I like your terrain!
Best regards, Frank.
My apologies Belfast, I didn’t notice there was two pages. I’ll notify the quartermaster that you can have a Sunday Roast MRE instead of the usual tonight.
wow, really nice gaming table!
Congratulations on the win 🙂
But the opponent’s list IS there, on page 2, just like in every other report I’ve posted 😀 !
This report was supposed to be brief as the game wasn’t that eventful. I’m sure you’ll appreciate the next more.
A short, but overall rounded report. I wouldn’t have minded more text showing what was happening in each photo.
There must be some British attachment to this place. Surely it can’t be the House of Windsor’s attachment to the origins of the House of Hannover…
Well painted, on both sides. Excellent table as well.
You’ve earned your tea today!
Cool looking table
A good win for us again, well done Lieutenant Belfast. Be sure to check my guide on how to improve Battle Reports in the briefing room to raise your rating. For this one, I would recommend adding in your opponent’s army list as well, as the uploader can support multiple files.
