Report to follow;
My command has successfully conducted a fighting withdrawal. The battle took place in a forested river valley with a small farm at one corner of the area of operations, and several other buildings scattered throughout the area.
British forces consisted of a plethora of ATGM armed mechanized and air mobile infantry supported by ATGM armed helos, as well as mortars, various lethal mechanized units, and guided AA. The objectives were spread evenly across the area of operations, with the primary one in the center of my command's deployment zone, and the other two on the flanks. Our forces were spread evenly with a BMP-2 motorized platoon on each of the flanks, armor concentrated in the center, and recon elements pushed forwards to engage in delaying tactics. All units were concealed in forests or other terrain.
The Brits launched a slow push down the valley and through the woods on my right flank with some of their infantry forces, keeping the remainder dug in and concealed. Their ATGM infantry as well as their mech units, mortars, and AA hung back to provide covering fire from the high ground on their side of the valley.
The British ATMGs inflicted heavy casualties on my forces as we inflicted minimal damage on theirs, managing to only down their helos and destroy a few mech units. Despite these losses though we managed to delay them long enough or our forces to withdraw successfully.

That looked bloody.

I would love a little more story or text on this one 🙂
but congratulations to the victory Comrade!
Nice report. Remember RTFVC. But still well-handled against a tough opponent.
Nice game
Actually good point, which mission was this? Hard to tell with the pictures or the text. Decent report though!
Nice report, Given the short length of the write up, upload the picture as single images. You can use the text box on the pictures to point out key events from the write up.
What mission did you guys play?
I know carnage when I see it. Nice carnage. Well done.
The win is good. Well done.
The carnage makes it look like a British victory, perhaps it was best that the Soviet forces withdrew.
Well done regardless.
