The British General Staff have pulled II Corps units away from the successful counteroffensive in the Netherlands to hold open the vital Kassel Corridor that is supplying the Hanover Pocket. This move has apparently been taken without consultation with the NATO Supreme Commander. The impact on NATO unity has yet to be seen.
At the same time the British Army on the Rhine (BAOR) has changed its focus to breaking out of the Hanover Pocket.
These additional forces are likely to be a welcome addition to the Battle for the Ruhr, but may spell the end of the NATO offensive out of the Netherlands towards Bremen that appeared to be developing.
it’s a Star Wars joke, Kessel Run
It’s a joke, guys… a pun.
Kassel ist richtig /Kassel is correct but Kessel is more funny lol
Apparently someone needs to look at the map. It’s Kassel, not Kessel, alternatively spelled Cassel, and once the capital of Hesse-Kassel. Kessel is a company that makes pumps.
Those British reinforcements are going to wander for a long time looking for Kessel
Ohhhhh… Kessel Run… that’s bad… 😀
So Hanover is a hot pocket?
To keep the puns going, Dunquirk?
Brexit 😛
I have to say it: Can they make the Kessel run in 12 parsecs ? :p
