Journey to Hannover Part 1/3

Me and my friend Pelikanen had planned for a big game but decided to try some of the new quick missions.
We played 4 games, playing 30 points lists. We will gradually attempt to move up to 40, 50 and lastly 60.
Overall, we had alot of fun and the games shifted quickly. There was never a real tell who would win in a game and we enjoyed that. No reserves, no night etc. We both concluded it was fun and will try them again! But next time at a lower points cost. He was a little reluctant because he played West Germans but he wanted to try his Leopard 1's and let me tell you, we had alot of fun playing these missions!

Wilhelm is withdrawing his forces to join with Kommendant Baron in the Volksarmee push in Hannover.
But his journey back is not without perils.
He's been pushing past several West German enemies. Sometimes, having to leave unit to deal with it and move on with the main force.
This is once such incident where he needs to leave a small skirmish force behind.

The engines reev as they begin to move out attempting to cut of the road from the approaching Leopard 1's
Kessler moves up attempting to set up an ambush at the wheatfield. However, the Leopard 1's saw the move and counter-moved with two flanking manouvers of their own. Destroying one and bailing the crew of another T-72M. Now it was his turn to strike back!
He laughed in triumpf as got reports of two destroyed Leopards 1's. An eye for an eye. He knew the battle had just begun and he was going to see it finished.
The Leopards Commander was brave. Bringing his weaker tanks out to face the more modern T-72M. Stronger cannon, more armour protection. He smiled as he saw them set up as targets at a practise...
...Feldwebel Hans screamed over his headset how he had taken casulties with his platoon on the left flank and had decided that this was madness. Leutnant Kessler saw Hans flee the battle along with another tank. "Verdamt!" he roared as he issued orders for the rest of the remaning tanks to move up against the main road.
Leutnant Kessler and his men fire at the Leopard 1's holding the objective but due to panic and unsteady driving all the shoots miss. In responce Kessler sees the Wessies turrets turn and he can see the black hole of the barrel aiming and following him and his men. Both of his supporting tanks erupts in flames and he sees crewmen bail their vehicles. Despite his anger towards the enemy he orders the tank to leave and deploy smoke. Resigning his faith in the hands of Hauptmann Wilhelm when he reports back his failure. If only he could find Hans. Than they could coloborate the story...These missions where super fun!
I really applaude Battlefront for pushing out these missions for us!
Pelikanen liked it aswell since it wasn't hampering him or holding him back with reserves from turn 3 and onwards. Not to mention that these missions opens up new venues for beginner players!
So to everyone that still havn't tried these quick missions, try them. I lost this game, but it was still fun and it went quick, which mean we could play a total of 4 games in a little under 2 hours.
