Captain Townley found himself in unfamiliar territory, fighting a series of withdrawals and now his command had been split over a very wide front, with a small contingent of Germans bolstering his positions. His force sat hidden behind a series of industrial buildings and a small forest, waiting for the Soviets to burst out of a tree line on the opposite side of the battlefield. A Mech Platoon sat hidden in a small town covering the local rail lines.
The Soviets came fast, for each tank that was destroyed another one appeared in its place. Soon the Company channel was filled with voices calling for support the Juggernaut rolled over them. The Mech platoon was the first to be pushed back, the missiles killing BMPs and disciplined fire stopping two assaults in their tracks before they had no choice but to retreat. A10s screamed over the battlefield hunting T-72s but nothing would slow down the hordes. Soon the German forces were destroyed in place leaving the centre completely open.
The VADS platoon turned their guns on the Soviet infantry and BRDMs shredding them but their victory was short lived as enemy Shilkas returned fire bailing out the entire platoon and forcing the survivors to run. Captain Townley and his remaining tank platoon desperately engaged a company of T-64s and T-72s but their numbers were too great and they were knocked out.
The Soviets had won the day.
curses! next time a NATO win, good work!
Good job, good report
Another awesome report – looks like you guys are having a great time with the campaign down in the studio! Congrats to Aaron for pulling out the win.
Yeah it was a tough fight with a whole lot of Soviets to try to push back. Aaron’s T-64 company was a bullet soak, the extra point of armour was really annoying to try to kill!
Unlucky on the loss there, Chris, but looked like a big fun game with lots of dead Soviets at least.
