Colonel Wal sorted through the myriad reports on his desk about the East German breakout that had occurred into Oberosttereich from Plzen the previous day. His men had done their duty and slowly fell back in an attempt to slow the tide of ever increasing East German numbers into that critical territory. It was rumoured that the somewhat feared East German commander Leadgend was personally leading this assault from his bunker in Moscow, so Colonel Wal knew a tough fight would be had.
Colonel Wal ordered his men to encircle the East German beachhead and as false dawn began, he ordered his men to swiftly advance under the cover of darkness in preparation for a full scale assault on the entrenched East German positions.
Initial reports were that the East Germans were taken by complete surprise and a decoded transmission from the front lines read "we're sorry to disturb you General Leadgend, but if you don't mind skipping your pancakes and caviar, we'd appreciate some direction before we're completely overrun - Kapitan Frankfurter out".
The first half hour of the battle saw a brief but brutal skirmish between elements of the British Chieftains and the East German armour and armoured cars. One chieftain was quickly taken out of the picture, but the return fire saw most of the lead elements of the East German T-72 armour and BMP-2's taken out of the equation.
The East Germans tried to take advantage of the darkness to no avail, for as dawn broke, punishing fire from the British Milans and Chieftains took care of a number of East German elements, including both groups of Spandrels, armoured cars and T-55's.
A final attempt at a breakout maneuver by the East Germans saw one unit of Chieftains retire from the field in disarray, but in the end the mighty British 3rd Armoured Division forced them back and annihilated the remaining East German positions one by one.
MI-5 spies in Moscow reported that General Leadgend slowly finished his pancakes (forgoing the Black Caviar as a sign of respect to the brave men who fell under his command) and ordered a full scale retreat to Berlin.
British forces led by the brilliant Colonel Wal liberated the now uncontested territories of Oberosttereich and Plzen from the clutches of the evil communists to a ticker-tape parade of grateful German citizens.
Congrast commander on the win, but also try and add photos since it enhances the battle report, text is quite….unimaginative 😛
The true version of events is now up in my battlereport.
Nice write up 🙂
Hello,

The other sayed, some pictures would be nice.
Thanks for reporting and good that the Brits have another victory ;).
Best regards, Frank.
Rule Britannia!
Thanks for the feedback – my opponent took the photos and my report was limited due to having a relatively limited amount of time to write it. I’m sure Leadgend will write a report shortly and post photos as well.
I’ll make sure to take photos next time.
Very concise, but maybe a few more details photos would flesh things out and paint a more complete picture.
