This game is a continuation of our attack on Markersreuth from yesterday. This was a pursuit of the survivors of the last engagement using only the forces that remained after the earlier battle. The western allies set up a hasty defense in the hopes they can defeat us and hold back our push.
"Colonel!!! Push!" "Get your forces on the roads and pursue the enemy, don't let them regroup Durchenko!!! I will get you some artillery as soon as I can-but keep moving". "Understood sir" Durchenko replies as they head west as fast as possible-right toward Meierhof where the enemy has managed to set up a hasty defense.
Durchenko takes his command-what's left of it and attacks immediately.
Turn 1: Sorry comrade the artillery is not ready to support you yet, The T-72Ms on our right flank fire but miss. The T-55Ms in the center fire at long range and with a great shot, take out a single ITV.
The Western allies fire and knock out a T-72M, the remaining ITV passes it's morale and takes out a scout BMP-1. US artillery IS ready and bails a T-55M
Turn 2:
I apologize comrade colonel, but the artillery is not yet is a position to support you. Durchenko swears under his breath and orders his tanks forward. The T-55M fails to remount and another boggs down!!! All tank firing manages to miss.
The western allies also fail to get any artillery. M1s take out a T-72M and a T-55M. A dragon team at the petrol station bails a T-72M.
Turn 3:
We have artillery!!! It does....nothing. The lone remaining scout BMP flees!! The tanks eliminate a dragon team and a T-55M knocks out a the fist team.
The Americans get gutsy and move to engage the remaining 3 T-72Ms. and unbelievably they miss 3 out of 4 shots!!! They kill 1 T-72M, the lone dragon team misses, and The Jag 1 on the far left bails a T-72.
Turn 4
The T-72Ms take out 1 M1, and the T-55Ms take out the remaining M1 (the commanders tank) from flank shots. Western morale fails and the western forces flee the field. Durchenko's forces are so worn out that he cannot pursue further. Durchenko has 2 T-72M, 2 T-55Ms, and 3 T-72s remaining. He informs the General and gathers his commanders for a quick issuing of orders for defense.
Congratulations Comrade!
Congratulations on your win. Another for you it seems.
Congratualations upon your victory! 🙂
good job
Nice quick fight!
Good turn summary there, some of the pictures are quite blurry, however.
I got really lucky, I thought for sure on turn 3, faced with 4 shots, the T-72Ms were gonna bite it.
Nice write up. The pictures really add a lot. Congratulations on the win!
