Story of Captain Wiliams of 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment. Part 2.

Captain Williams with his regiment was late to the beginning of the invasion of the Soviet troops. And his war began in the third week of the conflict. To date, he has already passed two major battles, of which withdrew the winners, although with serious losses.
After he rested from the battles for Frankfurt and was expecting replenishment of the equipment, he received an urgent order to collect a combat group and move to the Ruhr area to intercept the next wave of a massive Soviet offensive.
Williams gathered everyone he could. The sergeant Carson's infantry company, two platoons of tanks and anti-aircraft armored vehicles, and with a calm heart, moved along the specified coordinates. He was absolutely sure that in a couple of days the war would end and he would rest as a war hero.

Arriving in the area, he outlined two points of defense, hid two Adams for giant tanks, and two more Abrams and anti-aircraft armored vehicles sent to another site of defense.
After half an hour he received the first reports on the approach of enemy forces. "Repeat Carson, how many tanks do you see?" As two dozen come to you? Abrams of the first platoon see a half dozen armored vehicles going to them, it can not be that there would be so many troops! "
At that moment, the steel wave of Soviet armored vehicles reached the tanks and Abrams under numbers 11 and 12.
Williams received confirmation from the tanks and shouted at the radio. "Attack! Immediately!" Tanks opened fire on them almost at point-blank range! BPM-2 exploded from the first hit, they threw up the force of the explosion and turned over to the roof.
"Forward, we must finish them off." Wilms commanded his crew and Abrams rolled out from behind the houses.
And along with the accompanying M113 who opened fire from their machine guns.
Two more armored vehicles exploded from the hits of the Williams tank, one shot M113 and the US infantrymen opened fire from the second floor from their"Dragons".
The company BMP-2 ceased to exist literally in half a minute without having to make a shot. The enemy infantrymen fled from the burning cars. "Sir, these are not the Soviet who were at last time, not that symbols and uniform" was radiated by Carson from the second floor of the house occupied by the US infantry.
Enemy troops are continuing to move forward.
"Tanks left, a lot!" Wilms distracted from the firing by Karsson's voice on the radio.
"We are surrounded by BPM, and under rocket fire, we are holding", the first company roared by radio.
Williams was covered with a cold sweat, there were too many enemies. After a few seconds, he ordered to move his tank, that would not substitute for the enemy tanks the side of his vehicle. BMPs were not dangerous to him, he was sure that the first company would quietly suppress them without his help.
Changed the position of his tank immediately opened fire and the first shot exploded the leading enemy tank.
Meanwhile, Soviet BMPs surrounded two American tanks trying to hit them with their fire. Tanks skillfully maneuvering did not allow them to aim their missiles. But the constant runoff of small-caliber projectiles began to frighten their crews on their armor and did not give them time to normal aim.
M113 began to irresponsibly shoot enemy infantry and Williams, after driving away panic began making a plan for further action.
But today fate was on the side of enemies. "The eleventh hit, turret jammed" Williams heard a second before his tank shook a powerful blow to the rear armor and the combat compartment filled with acrid smoke and a howl of fire alarm. "Leave the tank!" Shouted, stunned William, flinging open the hatch and climbing onto the tower. A terrible picture appeared before his eyes.
Two tanks of the first company were surrounded, and in addition to this, long-range missiles were constantly being poured on them. Soviet tanks, having bypassed the quarter at point-blank range, shot M113, and the rising Soviet infantry fled on them firing on the move. A second later, the nearest M113 exploded, and a shock wave dashed Williams off the turret and smashed him to the ground. The world around him darkened, and the consciousness left the captain.

Williams woke up lying on the armor riding somewhere Abrams surrounded lying wounded men, that he learned his crew, and someone from the M113 crews. Behind the tank the infantrymen slowly walking with more tank crewmen with them.

"Oh, you woke up sir!" Said Carson overtaking the tank, "Unfortunately I have bad news, we are retreating"

"What's happened?" Williams asked wearily.

"Well, when you very successfully flew into the bushes and lost consciousness, the crew was forced to leave the tank number 11 and throw it. But it is much worse that another group of tanks approached us from the flank and I ordered to retreat. We could pull out all the tankmen and half the crews of the M113, and we ourselves lost only one of the Dragon with crew. I'm ready to take full responsibility for this decision, sir. "

"As long as I'm alive, Sergeant, I'll be responsible for the unit and all of its actions. You saved people, and that's right. We will still fight. "

Williams got up, holding on Abrams' turret and looked back, where the track's of Soviet tanks crushed his dreams of a quick victory.
"We're still fighting guys! It's a defeat in the battle, but it's not the end of the war! "

End of part two.

Once again I apologize for my bad English.

We played a Hasty attacks and I lost in three turns :(
Some video ещ transmits my mood.

Captain Williams miraculously survived the destruction of the tank at this time.
After the fight, I suggested that the opponent roll a cube and with a result of 3+ Williams would be injured, and 5 + he would be die in battle (as the tank was destroyed in my deployment zone).
At this time lucky, and opponent has thrown only 2.

But generally when my opponent before the fight put his army next to mine, I myself was scared :)
