Report to follow;
My command has successfully conducted a fighting withdrawal. The battle took place in a forested river valley with a small farm at one corner of the area of operations, and several other scattered buildings in the area.
US forces consisted of two platoons of Abrams tanks supported by several mechanized infantry platoons, several platoons of mech armed with ATGMs, a platoon of paladins, and two A-10s. The objectives were spread evenly across the area of operations, with the primary one in the center of my command's deployment zone, and the other two on the flanks. Our forces were spread evenly with a BMP-2 motorized platoon on each of the flanks, armor concentrated in the center, and recon elements pushed forwards to engage in delaying tactics. All units were concealed in forests or other terrain.
The Americans launched a slow push through the fields on my right flank with their infantry forces, as well as across the river in the center of the area of operations with their armor. Their ATGMs and most of their transports hung back to provide covering fire from the high ground on their side of the valley.
My recon elements delaying tactics, coupled with sheer volume of fire from the T-72s and BMP-2 ATGMs hidden on my side of the valley, was enough to whittle down the American forces throughout the course of the battle. Despite mounting heavy casualties we knocked out or routed all of their Abrams tanks and ATGM equipped mech.
ATGMs and long range tank fire saw heavy use from both sides as the US infantry moved on the flank to engage in close combat with one my infantry platoons. However, despite contesting the objective, we successfully conducted our withdrawal.
