Having not played any TY since the British release last year it was time to get a game in with Tony's recently painted force.

75pts was a good place to start as it allowed me to use the maximum amount of my assembled West German forces. Not alot of Red Factions in our area (mine is on the assembly line) so it was sadly a Blue on Blue encounter.

Free for all through the City Streets.

Despite some early heavy losses after a sneaky German Spearhead deployment (pop went some Chieftan's and Scopians) the British brew up some courage and took the fight back to the Germans. Milan missle trails streamed across the city streets lighting up Leopard1 & Leopard2 MBT's, a pair of Geopards and even a helo. (I think I worked out that Tony killed 30pts worth of teams in turn 4).

However the early attack had put the British on the defensive and prevented them from advancing onto thier objectives. Even though there was now little German resitance remaining, the call from British high command had sounded their withdrawl from this area of combat. (We ran out of time but had got 6 turns in so were happy to call it a game).

Overall it was an enjoyable game and nice to throw down some dice again.

I didnt take any photos. The store we played in took some photos that Tony has already posted in his report.
This was really just an after thought when the store mentioned the campaign to us. So we both decided to register and see how this Firestorm campaign system works?

It got two other members of the club interested in Team Yankee. So you may see more detailed reports in the future.

Any Pictures from the game that you took from your perspective? 🙂

Blue on Blue and a draw, that sounds right 🙂

I agree that the problem posed in these comments is a toughie, here’s how I see it. So long as one player playing has an account here, they are playing on the force they chose, and they specified before the start that they wanted this to be a campaign mission, they should post their mission regardless off the result. In this case, Storm, if the US player has an account here, they should post up. If they don’t, and you don’t have an alternative WarPac account, don’t bother.

As for the report, I hear you Psy, typing on a touch screen is really tiresome, so good job.

Storm Caller – honestly that’s a tough problem, and I’d have to think about how I’d want to handle it. Fortunately our group is fairly balanced, at least on a week to week basis. I still think NATO outnumbers Pact in total numbers, but a lot of guys have both. There’s the option of having people as bye opponents, in other words only one of the players is going to report (win, lose, or draw). But then you’re playing extra games.

    Fingolfen,

I completely agree with blue on blue or red on red, Some player don’t have the option for anything but. I ran into a different situation,

Had three tables setup at the house, all layer with troops! Only one of the Russian players showed up, so I end up player the Russian force on one board against an us force, I won! Do I report as Russian victory? Or an OPFOR ( blue on blue)?

I don’t think the WARSAW PAC should gain points because they choose not to show up!

    What do you think?

    Cheers

    Storm

Typing this up and linking on an iPad takes alot longer than I realised. But hope you guys now enjoy the slightly more flushed out encounter.

I’d really like to see some information here. Congratulations on getting a game in, though I’m not a big fan of blue on blue (or red on red) games…

You’ve done well to link the reports guys, but a fleshed out report would be great. I’ll mention this in the linked report so one of you may notice.
