We decided on a 60 point battle this time.
And to add a risk factor in I suggested that we keep both our lists secret and choose our battles stances then only reveal what we have as it's deployed.
I chose defend, manni prepared attack.
We ended up playing fighting withdrawal and my East Germans were had taken up a defensive position watching the flanks of the main thrust.
The Greeks attacked during the middle of the day.
Note: there's a lot of sideways action here as I'm doing this on my iPhone and it still rotates the image as it was taken even after I edit them to be correct.
I deployed my infantry on both flanks, AA in the middle. Atgms with good sight to most of the table carnations in a corner and 8 T72m's in ambush.
My opponent put everything on my left flank. 12 leopard 1's, jaguars and 6 gephards. With tornadoes waiting to come in
My turn I drop the T72 from ambush at long range and open up with the carnations, which kill one and get two bails.
The T72's do a it more damage before scoring away.
The leopards move up in turn two and do a bit of damage to the T72's but only two die.
The tornadoes fail to show up again.
And the two infantry in the forest get lit up from 6 gephards....just a tad mean
My turn two and I shuffle around a bit and bring the carnations in and umm well I hit every tank underneath and he rolled so many 1's and 2's that it hurt.
Then the T72's ripped in and finished all the leopards off.
My opponent kills of the infantry and pushes on away from thevT72's looking to kill everything else before the T72's catch him
Turn 3; I move up and not much is in range or sight just yet so I kill one jaguar and the second runs off. My carnations miss. They must be out of ammo.
Turn 4 and the Greek gephards move away and have a go at the bmp2's and thier infantry who had started on the other side of the table.
And for the fourth turn the tornadoes still don't show up.
My turn I move up catching the gephards in the flank and kill half.
Turn 5 and finally the scream of jets can be heard.
The shilkas get 7 hits but can only bring 1 down. The gadkins had been withdrawn turns ago.
But thankfully the Tornadoes noise was worse then thier bite.
Baron.
I find if your playing Warpact and half your stuff isn’t dead then your playing wrong
Too many things to paint, sadly age of sigmar has taken my time up now
wow, not the outcome I expected when I saw all the destroyed Volksarmee items.
But happy for you mate 😀
Nice report and nice Pictures 🙂
Start painting!!
good job. And what does the West German government have to SAY ABOUTIT? They sold them the tanks, and should be righteously pleased that the Greeks didn’t insist on taking them home to defend Salonika from the Bulgarians. Or Turks, as the case may be.
Yeah I’ll have to rotate the pics on a computer.
The iPhone mustn’t save the files orientation after editing
Nice report.
Good report, it sure is nice seeing that Greek armour’s colours scheme!
Some of the photos need to be rotated 90 degreees, Great pictures and nice report!
Was the German player East or a West, The deployment looked east, but the equipement was West?
Opa!!! Looks like a fun game!
The West German high command will perhaps want a word with your opponent about that deployment, knowing you had artillery…
Good win!
