Encounter near Rennau
75 POINTS2KM West of Rennau
My Lords:
Elements of my command came under attack by East German forces early this morning. After taking our Active Edge positions at 03:00, BAOR Command moved us to our forward alternates. Unfortunately, DDR troops had already breached the border and were moving on our position. (We received no intel from Brigade or Division on this, should we look into alternate channels?)
The resulting Encounter was confused, with our recon elements getting substantially ahead of our MLR. Our attached units from the QRL dug in with cover from attached armor.
Milan stations were particularly successful against the DDR T-72M but came under murderous fire from artillery. The Chieftains, already understrength from breakdowns on the road march, were forced to withdraw after 50% casualties.

Apparently the British intend to fight it out on this line all summer.
If you don’t have pictures google the type you want and add them to fun…..I do this in my report! a picture of the town, unit crest, a T-72 on fire is always a nice touch. Use your skills and have fun with it!
My group just had two players get called home by their Higher Headquarters (Read wives here). Both believed they were going to win! So in a good fashion, they both claimed victory, can’t link report, but how many time in history have both sides claimed victory in a battle?
In the end, it’s really funny to read their reports! It was a draw but they had a good time with it
