Firestorm: Red Thunder

The Team Yankee Global Campaign

The unstoppable Warsaw Pact thrust into Denmark has succeeded in overrunning the country in short order, opening the Baltic Approaches to the Soviet Baltic Fleet. At the same time, the fighting in Norway is intensifying. If the Baltic Fleet win the Battle for the North Sea, Atlantic convoys bringing reinforcements from America could be jeopardised.

Denmark is closed.

True the Warsaw Pact gained Denmark faster than what would be expected, but it did pull forces away from their expected points of attack!

Now the NATO forces can reinforce the area’s needed and do the defensive stance to hold the Red’s back and then exploit the weaken theatre’s.

Alas, a brief and all too quick resistance, perhaps the only consolation that it drew away forces which otherwise could have been used to push for Frankfurt.
And as for the North Sea and the Atlantic, the Russians may soon find that their navy is of little more than harassment use when facing the combined US, British and French navies.
