Setting the table was just as fun as playing the game. Bstann has an amazing selection of terrain and scenario to select from. We set up an open industrial area, a small city area in the middle, and beat up housing area. Every table needs an 8 Story High Rise Apartment complex.
NATO DEFENDS
Klute chose the open Industrial Area which shocked Me, I figured he would have taken the dense building side of the table for his Mech Company. I then discovered that with night his choice of a built up area let me get even closer then i would have with an open are. The night turned out to help me more then hinder. The +1s though and the US reluctance to fight caused me a lot of wasted ammo on units i needed a 7 to hit.
I deployed both BMP companies behind built up areas and slowly started to move forward. I then unmounted the infantry and had them go on foot as i used the BMPs as a diversion.
Note pinned Russians are a mother to un pin as I found out.
We slugged it out all the way up to one objective. But as it was late and we saw nothing more then a back and forth with no one able to secure or hold and objective we decide to call it a draw.
Raziel, Cds are American,, The soviets don’t have this capitalist technology. 🙂
