Firestorm: Red Thunder

As my forces advance across into Hamburg North it seems like a typical uneventful day.Then we cross a ridge just on the outskirts of town.Intel showed no enemy forces until town WELL they were wrong.

As i came across the ridge we were met with an American force consisting of m1a1s,m109s,and m114s. I was able to lock on to a M1A1 and fire Miss.My other units failed to hit anything the first turn.Now the Americans returned fire their M1A1s opened up and i took 2 Tank losses.There forward observer called in a stike if artilery from the 109s causing a tank crew to dismount and run for cover.During the excitement my attention was drawn away from a secondary force of West Germans setup on the southern end of the board.
However the Germans seized the opportunity and opened up with artillery scoring a direct hit on my Hail Battery losses were light but the unit pinned.

Time for payback.I opened up with my 2 units of T72s scoring several m1a1 kills and wipeing a unit of Luchs.I keep my fingers crossed that soon this nightmare would end when my air assets would arrive.

The tagteam NATO coalition continued to return fire.I started taking heavy losses to my tank units the hail battery was still pinned taking another barrage of arty fire.Then came the choppers at first in the fog of war we thought our air assets were arriving then through thw smoke we saw them a pair of cobras with there fangs out.They tore into the hail battery taking another loss.

I mustered what was left of my forces for 1 last strike at this nato force hoping the tide would change soon but the air assets never showed.The Nato force took several losses to there m109s and M114.But it wasnt enough the final salvo was launched and the heil battery was destroyed.
