Firestorm: Red Thunder

Hello,
because we use this campaign to learn the rules, to build up and test our armys, furthermore to play some relaxed games, we decided to make a test battle between my Brits and the West Germans of Warbringer (Marcus).
Now i will report of that battle.
And sorry, my english is not the best, i'm no native ;-).

Battle Overview (the whole Battle in a picture):

We rolled both a dice and it was a "Hasty Attack" to play and i was the attacker.
Warbringer choosed a side and placed his units.

He must split his army cause he didn`t know where i will attack.

After his placement i decided to attack on my left flank, because there were the "softer targets" ;).
My plan was to destroy his "Jaguar`s" and take the objective with a fast strike.

So i placed my two units:
My Sorpions used their Spearhead move and the middle of the table was reached

1st Round
Then the battle began.
My reserve roll show a 3, so no reserves arrived.
The Chieftains made a "Blitz Move" and reached the little farm.
The Scorpions speed up and could reach the rock in the Jaguar`s right flank.
The shots of the Chiefs didn`t bring any results and so i had to wait for the answer.

Marcus decided to move his Leo`s into position near the Silo`s, the Jaguar`s hold their Position.
Than he attacked my Chiefs, 4 Dice Roll later 1 of them was hit, but his armour whas thick enough.
It was a good decision to led them into concealment.
The Jaguars decided to hold their heads down.

2nd Round
Now i`d to roll two dices for my reserves, one 5 was to see and i decided to bring my second Chieftain platoon into battle. They came in along the road near the farm.
The 1st platoon holds the line and the Scorpions drive into firing position. I decided to make a blitz move, but the dice was not on my side :(. I moved them at tactical and bring it in range to contest the mission objective.
The Shooting Phase was much better than my first.
After 4 shots on the Jaguar`s, 1 was bailed. 2 Shots i send into the way of the Leo`s, but without any succses.
The Scorpion`s land another hit and one Jaguar was destroyed, but the last one don`t fled.
The mission objective was mine.
But Marcus turn was now!

The Jaguar crew get`s back into their vehicle.
The German Leo`s drive into position near the farm at the silos to get more targets.
Now the Jaguar`s had to move!
Marcus intend to bring them to the mission objective, but the luck was on my side, both rolls for crossing he missed!!!
So at the start of Turn 3 the mission objective will be mine.
But i decided that the last roll will be successful. I want to play Turn 3 and to learn and cement more rules.

The Leo`s open fire and destroyed one of my Chiefs.

3rd Round

I brought in my Commander, to flank the Leo`s and maybe destroy one.
The Scorpion`s want to contest the mission objective and Blitz Moved into the near forrest, but one of them gets bogged.
The other Chieftains hold their positions.
With 6 shots from the Scorpion`s i could destroy the Jaguar`s.
Now was my Commander in turn, but!!! He miss, fu** ;).

The other Chiefs shoot at the Leo`s but could not manage any damage.

Marcus rolled for the reserves, a 5! So his Marder Platoon came in.
The Leo`s hold the line.
The battle against the Leo`s and my Chief`s continued and some seconds later another one burned.
The Marders and the Grenadiere opened fire at my Scorpions and could bring 3 to bail out.
Then the Grenadiere assault, after some attacks from both sides the Scorpions where destroyed and the mission objective save.

At this point we decided to end the game and to count it as a draw.
I`d won because of the objective and he with Killpoints.

We maked some misstakes in this game but learned a lot. We had a lot of fun and will be continue to build our armys and play much more games.
