We played the Amsterdam Hasty Attack Mission, using 50pts of Brits and 50pts of combined Poles and East Germans. The Polish use a homemade list consisting of BWP-1s and T-72Ms, as well as 120mm mortars.
My hefty flank attack smashed into some sturdy British defences, and neither side managed to dislodge the other from their strong defensive positions. The battle was dominated by the ample cover and heavy use of foxholes by both sides.
Check out my blog for more details on the Poles:

At the end of Turn Six, we ended the game as a draw. It was hard to say who was ahead; we'd both taken similar losses, and while the Polish position on the northern flank was pretty perilous, it was fair to say that our tank force was in good shape and ready to continue rolling up the British positions. I'm sure their dug-in Milans would have had something to say about that though!
Great report. Nice models and like the table.
Great battle report guys!
Thanks for the feedback everyone, tried to incorporate the request for more detail from last night. (M. Nisbet, they are 120mm M-43s, which are home-made units based on US M30 107mm mortar rules).
Well fought game both of you 🙂
Nice overlays
Excellent job
These visual style reports are really refreshing to read. Well done!
M Nibet,
When falling around there is very little difference between a Mortar and missile launchers!
Still a really great report!
It’s nice to see the Russian reporting coming up to our standards!
British Standards of course!
It’s the standard by which all the world is compared to!

Soviet mortars? What Soviet mortars? Unless I’m mistaken and they are the BM-21 Hail launchers?
Beautiful battle report! We’ll drive those imperialists out and liberate the Netherlands yet!
Excellent graphics!
