Spah trupp leader looked nervously back through the town to the North West for the promised tank support. They had spotted the scouts at the vanguard of the latest Soviet motor rifle battalion to push into their sector, company command was called, and an under strength Leopard 2 company was ordered to setup a blocking position. A smoking Leopard 2 was spotted in the distance, looked to be abandoned from a previous engagement. Trupp leader made a mental note to investigate that area if the battle allowed.

Spah troops pushed up into town taking a position among the nearest buildings once they saw the tanks pulling into position to their rear. "Only five Leopards, that won't be enough." Scanning to the town's South East, ten plus BMP were counted. Second troop leader called out a similar number pushing up to the North of the first. In between was artillery, AAA, and other support units.

Bundeswehr positions are sparse. Calls for supporting fires and close air go unanswered.
Scouts begin to tangle in the town.
Leopards and supporting Gepards start thinning out he BMPs then remove the Storm platoon from the far hill.
Infantry bailout and with BMPs push forward into the teeth of the Leopards. A lone scout BMP is able to move into the flank of a Leo 2 focusing on the distant forces. 30mm rounds score some penetrating hits and send the crew bailing from the smoking hull.
The Soviet artillery was finally spotted by a British observer in the area, focused on, and destroyed, but not before they destroyed a Leo 2.
Battle ends for now. Soviet infantry digs in around town and the remaining Bundeswehr tanks stay in their covering positions.

A lone spah Luch pulls back away from town to the South then moves North West to link up with the remaining tanks outside of town. Smoke from burning BMPs and Leo 2s obscure the remaining forces and cover their movements. Calls for support and reserves cover the net. Alone with his crew the spah troop leader listens to orders for reconnaissance of the enemy to the North of town and new blocking positions

Final outcome was a Draw.
