Our first Firestorm: Red Thunder game at the Battlefront Studio was a Total War game using the Total Victory mission Phil had been working on. Phil (with 75 points of East Germans) and myself (Wayne, with 75 points of Soviets) took on Chris (with 75 points of Americans) and Andrew (with 75 points of West Germans). I faced mostly Andrews Force.
The battle started with Phil and myself advancing aggressively up the table to seize as many objectives as we can. The Total Victory mission works by holding objective over times, with players scoring points for each turn they are holding an objective.
As we closed in on the Autobahn that ran through the middle of the table, casualties started to mount, with Phil’s East Germans bearing the brunt of it. Eventually, after facing some of Chris’s Americans initially, Andrew’s small, but powerful, West German force began to take its toll on my Soviets.
However, the NATO force's lack of aggression during the early phases of the battle left them low on the victory points count and the Warsaw Pact forces were declared the victors.
Great photos
Like watching two heavy weight boxers. But that plays to the Warsaw Pacts favor.
I have no problem there 😉
Glad you guys are able to get a few games in to support the campaign. I know you guys are really busy at this point! 😀
Man, that built up area in the middle really creates some serious choke points! It looked like murder trying to get through with the WP. Nice game!! Love the carparks by the way.
