Firestorm: Red Thunder

The Amercians wanted to push asside every resistance with a quick and powerfull trust towards Magdeburg. It was the Soviets who went into defense once again.

My Soviet Forces:
1x Command T-64
5x T-64 (Cobra)
4x T-64 (Cobra)
12x BMP-2
4x Gopher
3x Gvozdika
4x Hinds

US Forces
1x Command M1
4x M1
3x M1
4x Vulcans
3x M109
1x Mech. Inf. platoon
2x Cobras
1x FIST
2x ITVs
2x Scout platoon

The Mission was No retreat with the US as attacker.

I placed first. On the table was my Inf. Company and the Gvozdikas. The T-64 was placed in ambush. Flo placed his Forces with the main part on his right wing. Maybe he was afraid of the mine field.

Turn 1
He pushed Forward with everything. Some Shooting on my infantery was with out effect.
My Hinds arrived from reserve and they immediately attacked the Shooting M1 platoon. Also the BMPs fired some Missiles. The result was only two killed M1 and two bailed. Flo rolled for morale and saved his platoon.

Turn 2
HE moved Forward with his Forces again. His M1 were all Shooting at my BMPs killing 9 with a deadly salvo. The Cobras turned around and opened up on the Hinds with there Vulcan. 6 shots, only 2 saves and 4 succesfull firepower test later the Hinds were gone. Bah...! In return my BMPs finished off the last two M1.

Turn 3
Flo smoked the village to avoid my T-64 to ambush and be in cover. He moved Forward his 4x M1. The BMPs received some Shooting but he was not able to destroy them. Also I rolled good for my morale.
Then my T-64s came out of the ambush. They drove into the flanks of the M1 tanks and destroyed three of them.

Turn 4
But now the americans opened up with everything on the T-64. Destroying 4 of them. The surviving Command M1 alone destroyed two with well placed flank shots. I was succesfull with my morale save.
The last two T-64 turned around and killed the command tank with flanking shots.

Turn 5
Flos infantery was not able to get up again. So the only Thing what he did was to shoot arty on the infantery. With Little effect. The Cobras destroyed the last BMP and his Scout platoon pushed Forward. My Gophers came out of reserve. Finally I had something to fight those nasty Cobras.

Turn 6
The US infantery still decided to Keep there heads down. The vulcans fired on the dug in infantery and killed some men. Flo run out off offensive capabilty.
My 4x T-64 platoon arrived and fired some Cobras at the vulcans. Destroying one.

Turn 7
His Shooting did nothing to my dug in infantery. In return they started an attack on his mech platoon wiping it out. The game was lost for Flo.
